FAQ

Common questions.

Who is eligible for the ISIC card?
The ISIC card is available to all full-time students aged 12 and above — whether you're in secondary school, university, or a full-time doctoral programme. You'll need to provide proof of student status when applying.
Can I use the card while on AIESEC exchange abroad?
Yes — the ISIC card is accepted in over 130 countries, which covers every country in the AIESEC network. Whether you're volunteering with Global Volunteer or on a Global Talent internship, your card works wherever you are.
How long is the card valid?
The digital ISIC card is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. You can see your exact expiry date in the ISIC app. Renew it each academic year to keep your discounts active.
Is it a physical card or digital?
The standard card issued in Denmark is fully digital. Download the free ISIC app (iOS or Android), activate your card with your personal ISIC number, and you're ready to use it in-store and online. Digital cards also work in offline mode once activated.
What if I'm not a student but I'm under 30?
If you're 30 years old or younger and not currently a full-time student, you can apply for the International Youth Travel Card (IYTC) instead. It offers similar benefits and discounts to the ISIC card and is available through the same platform.
How do I find and use the discounts?
Once you have your card, browse discounts in the ISIC app or on the ISIC Denmark website. You can filter by location, category (travel, shopping, food, etc.), or browse featured deals. In-store, simply show your digital card. Online, enter your ISIC details at checkout or use a special discount link.
Is the ISIC card accepted as official ID in Denmark?
The ISIC card is internationally recognised proof of student status, but it is not a legal form of identification in Denmark. You should still carry your passport or national ID card. However, the ISIC card is widely accepted as student proof for discounts, services, and benefits.
