"Team Building" is an essential step to build a team. Your team leader will set the team values, goals, and probably name( if they get fancy)

A team with no vision of what they want to achieve will never work. You will see how your team leader will set a vision and how the team will accomplish it at the end of your experience.

Still, you will also learn to be on time, be responsible, deliver your work on time and communicate concerns. Meaning you will learn to be professional.

We can't talk about team diversity without mentioning how you can develop your adaptability and patience. If you are put in a diverse team, you might find difficulties first to adapt your ways of thinking to theirs and find the balance.

You will learn to adjust to different mindsets and different ages, personalities, and cultures.

When you decided to go to an internship, meaning you became independent. It's vital to be independent because it is one of the most impactful leaders' qualities

Independence makes you take your own decisions and be responsible for their consequences, making you a reliable person in your professional and personal life.

Finally, you will learn to manage yourself throughout the challenging situations you will be facing. Self-management is an essential skill that will make you stand out in future interviews as it increases your employability.

The better your problem-solving skills, the better your future will get.

3)Accelerate your creativity and innovation

"Communication isn't what we say - it's what the other person understands."

And this what you will learn quickly in an AIESEC internship. How? By communicating with people with different backgrounds (age, country, language, culture, education, experience and social environment)

Effective communication is your ability to make the other person understand what you are saying, no matter what their background is.

How can you do that? We want to ask you a question first. Why do you listen? You listen to learn, to understand, or to enjoy. That's called actively listening

Active listening makes you a better communicator, and one of the most incredible things about it is that it gives you the ability to understand others' points of view.

Is there something else that you can learn concerning communication in an AIESEC internship?

Definitely!

You will acquire a new language. "When you learn a second language, you become better at communicating in your mother tongue as well. This is because you learn to analyze your first language from different angles, as you discover differences and similarities with the new language." Link

You will get the chance to talk to new people from different cultures. They will be welcoming. Most countries that have AIESEC internships are very welcoming. Day by day, you will become more sociable and adaptable.

One of the best things you can do there is to add value to others by spreading positivity in every place you go. People will remember, love, and appreciate you. Say positive words, give compliments, and be the reason the other person smile.
